It probably not a coincidence...

... that I neglected to post yesterday AND that I ate like a pig the last of my flex points. Actually, I may have eaten more flex points than I had, but I could only guess at the point values of the junk that surrounded me. I did, however, track it all. And today... well, the scale was up in a way that I didn't think was possible- Which makes me think that I probably really did go over my weekly flex allowance.

Ah well, such is life. There's not much I can do about it now, is there... Today is a new day and I think I've done pretty well... I ate a healthy 4 point breakfast and peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. That left me with about 13 points to use on dinner, but again, we're having family over and I'm having to guess points values for a lot of what I'm eating since it's come from other people's kitchens. I am, however, going to make sure that I take an hour long walk tonight.

I've stayed true to my promise to give up Diet Coke for the week and I've had some pretty rough moments. Today has been especially hard since the scale is way up. I can't help but wonder what in the heck I'm doing. I mean COME ON! Tracking, staying on plan (at least I THINK I've stayed on plan) AND giving up Diet Coke. I'm expecting great things but if todays scale reading is any indicator, I am in for a big disappointment, come weigh in Tuesday night. However, I'm doing my best to think positive... the scale is almost always up a couple of pounds after I have a junky eating day (even if I have the flex points to spend)... so I'm hoping that by Tuesday, it will be gone and I'll see some good results. If not... well... I don't even want to THINK about how ticked I'm going to be.

I was thinking that if it is hot where you are and you are eating things w/a lot of sodium, maybe you are retaining water? If that is the case...drink more water and pee!
I know what you mean about weeks like that. My last 2 have been similar. WI is tomorrow so we will see if this week follows suit. So discouraging!

Think of it this way...you always get paid for today's work tomorrow (or the next day). And that also works the other way...

You can do this....you only have a few more days left without diet coke...who knows, maybe by then you just won't want it anymore. HAHAHA

First of CONGRATS in no DC for 1 week. That is awesome, I knew you could do it! It may not have been the best week with withdrawls and all but you did it so be proud! :)

Now, what ARE you drinking? Are you drinking enough water, crystal light, tea etc? Maybe you need more to get rid of yesterday's damage. Even on totally OP days I have consumed too much sodium and gained. I swear sodium is the devil that messes with our heads.

I had one of those, I ate everything so I can't track it days last sunday, so I know how they go.

*if* the scale is NOT your friend tomorrow night, just keep going in the right direction and maybe next week the scale will reflect it all. sometimes it takes an extra week for the hard work to show up!
