Wearing more clothes...

... tends to affect the scale at Weight Watchers... My weight was up a pound, but I was wearing a sweater and a thick undershirt... There's a pound, easy. In the past I've always dressed for weigh in... You know, lighter clothes and such... But damn it, I AM COLD these days and I need my clothes! I was prepared for the scale to be up a bit, and it was. No biggie. I was warm and that's what counts in my book these days.

Instead of our usual meeting, our leader, Jenice, asked several of the lifetime members to come sit at the front of the class and field questions. Normally I'm all about talking about myself and my fat but Tuesday night I just wasn't up for it. I was feeling a little wiped out and was considering not coming to class at all. Unfortunately, Jenice treated the whole thing more like "The Price Is Right" and didn't really give anyone the option to say no... She was more like "HEY! Come on down!!!"... And so I did... Thick sweater and all. What can I say... I'm such a sport.

I used to make sure that every time I went for a weigh-in I would wear the same clothes - didn't want any surprises coming my way!

I agree, your example is so inspiring - wish I could have been at that meeting!

Gotta love the extra bulk of winter clothing...it always makes me feel bigger than I am.

I will admit, though, as nice as it is swimming in November (we went yesterday), I miss the cold weather.

Just wanted to pass on a note to let you know that I recently discovered your blog and find it inspiring and entertaining!

I find it especially inspiring start weight is about what mine was - and your end weight is about my goal - I'm only about 20 pounds lost though. I am curious to know your height?
